Legacy Scholarship
Student Teaching is a Sacrifice!
In recognition of this, donors from our community fund a variety of student teacher scholarships.
Legacy Scholarships are sponsored by family or friends of someone whose passion for education has had a powerful effect on the lives of many.
Davis District Scholarships are provided by current and former teachers, administrators, and board of education members who want to support our newest teaching colleagues.
Our Equity Scholarship is provided by the Davis Equity Department to promote diversity in our teaching staff.
Applications will be sent to Davis student teachers after they start their student teaching
All scholarship awards are $500.
Scholarship winners are selected by a committee.

Housing for Student Teachers
Thanks to our community partner Lagoon Amusement Park, we can offer free apartments for student teachers during their placement with us.
This provides an opportunity for those who live some distance away to come, teach with us, and see if Davis is the right place to begin their teaching career.
Note: Partially refundable deposit and proof of renter’s insurance required.
"2 bedroom apartment for free is a steal of a deal! It's nice to have a dishwasher as well. We used the bunk beds as shelves to organize our storage, so that was nice too. The property is pretty well kept up. Office people were friendly and attended to our needs."
